I’m bringing Fate Accelerated and dice with me to our Sunday family gathering. I don’t know if anyone will want to play but I want to be prepared to run a game at the drop of a hat, which Fate Accelerated excels at.

While I’m a supporter of apps with subscriptions I’m hitting my limit. I can’t subscribe to every app. I love Ulysses and will continue my subscription but part of me is tempted to purchase iA Writer once and be done with it.

I picked up a copy of The Black Panther Party: A Graphic Novel History at Underground Books today. Looking forward to reading it later this evening.

Mother’s Day

We’ve been celebrating Mother’s Day all weekend. Friday we went to Hawks Provisions and Public House for cocktails but stayed diner dinner. Yesterday we went to Napa Valley with friends and had wine at Castello di Amorosa and V. Sattui. Today we had brunch at Old Soul Co. and picked up some books at Underground Books. Visiting family shortly. Epic weekend.

I re-read Bruce Sterling’s Heavy Weather. The book really holds up. A nation wracked by climate change and rampant viruses and a protagonist who wears a face mask through most of the novel. This graphic would have been perfect accompaniment.
