Probably not the best sartorial decision.
It’s taken a week for it to sink in that after nearly two years all of the family is finally under the same roof.
Bath time fun with kiddo.
Blossom helped Kaison open his present.
After nearly two years of Soundwave, one of my guest deejays finally featured Coil in their mix. I’ve been a fan of Coil since their last century release, Love’s Secret Domain, and I’m thrilled they’ve made an appearance on today’s show. 🎵
Genius and Soul had its weekly meeting last night. It was another reminder who intelligent and creative our team is and I count myself lucky to be among their company. Genius and Soul launches January 1, 2022. I’m confident you are going to love the show. 🎵
Looking for something fantastic to listen this weekend? Jaubi’s Nafs at Peace is my favorite album of 2021. I’ve been listening to it weekly, sometimes daily, for the last five months and I never tire of it. 🎵
An acquaintance of mine was an anti-vaxxer. It was because he caught COVID-19. He tried Ivermectin, which did not work. He nearly died and finally took the vaccine. He’s getting his oxygen from a tank right now. Thankfully he didn’t win the Herman Cain Award.
The wife and I are going to see Dune in an hour. I’m excited that she’s excited. I’ve avoided knowing anything about this particular adaptation, and I’m curious to see how the Navigators will be represented.
I didn’t mind being locked out of my Facebook account (I don’t know why, was it my controversial cat photos?), but I was furious when I could no longer access Spotify. I will never use another service for logins. Thankfully, I can use Spotify again. Dead simple: I reset the password.
Last night Marci came after being away for nearly two years in the National Guard. We’ve seen each other during that time, but only for a few days or weeks here and there. Good to have her home. Today is our grandkid’s birthday. Four years-old! The last 24 hours have been epic.
One last mix to share for you ghouls and gals. While not a Halloween mix, it is Gothy enough to qualify if you squint your eyes. Light a candle, burn some incense, and paint your nails black while you listen to this show from 1993. 🎵
Yet another Halloween tradition of mine was my yearly Halloween show on WMFO. I was not above playing “The Monster Mash” or “The Purple People Eater,” but I leaned more toward Goth, metal, and industrial. Here’s a Halloween show I did last century for your listening pleasure. 🎵
Another Halloween tradition I had was listing to a lot of Goth music. One of my favorite albums was This Is The Way by A Scanner Darkly, and I think that album is somewhere in my dad’s basement. Fortunately, someone uploaded the album to YouTube. I hope Sub Rosa will release the LP digitally some day. 🎵
When I was younger, my Halloween tradition was to read one story from H.P. Lovecraft a day. I ended that tradition because I don’t have that kind of time anymore and because I’ve re-read his stories many times.“The Rats in the Walls” remains my favorite story by Lovecraft.

Now that I’m back in the office I’m finding the oddest things at my desk, like a bowl and a spoon that haven’t been washed in over a year and a half. Gross.
