I am excited to have another HomePod Mini in the house today when you work remotely. The little things matter.
What a day. I went kayaking with a friend, sidestepped a family squabble, played at the park with the grandkid for a couple of hours, and nearly broke my big toe on the way back home. I am so very happy to be in bed.
I should go to bed but I need to write show notes for this Sunday’s Soundwave featuring a mix from Metal Postcard Records Sean Hocking. It’ll be whimsical and wonderful.
There are three tools I use daily that if we’re to lose any of them it would severely hamstring my workflow: Evernote, OmniFocus, and TextExpander.
101° F today. Tomorrow it will be 110°. Except for pee breaks, my dog will only be going out firth thing in the morning and after sunset.
Woke up early, decided to write. Fired up Ulysses on my iPad and the app re-downloaded all my sheets from iCloud. Started writing, switched apps to copy some text, switched back on Ulysses and it crashed. This is the opposite of the seamless writing experience I was promised.
I have a beautiful mix that’s gestating. I think it’ll be ready to share it with you this weekend. In the meantime, please enjoy my Your Dream mix. It’s fantastic.

Last summer I was fit and trim. And then I put on the COVID 19 lbs. But after a few weeks do working out I’m finally shedding some pounds. It’ll take me about two months to get back to where I was previously.
I interview today’s Soundwave guest deejay, Pierre Laplace,at 10:00 am Pacific. Join us at https://www.instagram.com/josephaleo/

Today’s Soundwave guest deejay is Pierre Laplace, AKA Beyond the Ghost. He spins a gorgeous, somber mix you will delight in. Listen at http://josephaleo.com/blog/soundwave-63-pierre-laplace/

If I have to wait a minute for Ulysses to load my pages every I use the it or tab back from another app I don’t see the point of using it. I’m considering iA Writer. Bonus: with iA Writer there’s a one-time purchase as opposed to Ulysses’s initial purchase and subscription fee.
I’m excited to release this weekend’s show featuring a mix from Beyond the Ghost. I describe his music as an imaginary soundtrack to a China Miéville novel, but his mix is a very different thing. You’re going to love it like a heartbreak.

While Ulysses is a great app, I don’t enjoy how frequently it has to re-load everything whenever I tab to another app and then tab back to Ulysses on my iPad.
Looks like Dan Carlin is going to get me through today’s visit to the gym.
