Inspiration strikes.

I’m assembling Alex Haas’s mix for this week’s Soundwave based on his playlist. Lots of deep, ambient dub and unexpected pop songs.

That’s some good branding, Dark Horse Coffee.

Leatherman saves the night.

The boy loves my slippers.

Ho Ho Ho.

The fact that IA Writer and Obsidian can open the same text files makes me reconsider using Obsidian as my primary note-making app, and dropping Ulysses for IA Writer.

I’m excited that the Appendix N Book Club will be reviewing Ursula Le Guin’s novel, A Wizard of Earthsea, on their next show.

It’s very important for the boy to strike a heroic pose when we play Catboy and Monster. I’m the monster.

Spotify’s Discover Weekly crushing it once again. I don’t know if I would have ever come across Frantz Casseus’s “Suite No. 1: Pedro” on my own.

These days I use Drafts more than Evernote, but Drafts serves an entirely different purpose. I use Drafts mostly to write and format emails before exporting them to Airmail. That’s not to imply a deficiency in Airmail; I just find writing emails in Markdown more enjoyable.

Many people seem to loath Evernote, which I don’t understand. I’ve been using the app pretty much since it was available for the iPhone. It does what it advertises, and I do t feel bloatware. I have yet to come across an app to replace it.

Cat Boy!

Cat Dziadzia.

Today’s episode of Soundwave is ultra cool because it features a mix from danielfuzztone, who I met through Michael Donaldson on Micro.blog. Enjoy! 🎵

Making memories with kiddo.

Kiddo’s first Christmas tree decorating. 🎄

Thank you, Mike Nesmith, for your part in The Monkees and producing Repo Man and Tapeheads, two of my favorite cult movies. RIP.

Because making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is too hard and takes too much time. I’m amazed our civilization hasn’t collapsed already.
