Boris is a washed-up base jumper/ parkour YouTube Star aspiring to be a TikTok influencer. What sling bag does he rock, and what is his everyday carry?
Yesterday we had the last session in our Xas Irkalla supernatural survival horror RPG. The game was so relentlessly grimdark that it verged into comedy. Everyone had a great time, so that’s all that matters. We’ve decided to continue our weekly game sessions, and the next game we’ll play will be Mothership, a science fiction survival horror RPG.
We’re playing these games via Discord. No maps; it’s all theater of the mind. We’ve kept each session to 90 to 120 minutes, so everything moves along quickly, and we usually do two scenes per session.
I’d love to hear any grimdark survival RPG tips you might have.
Every morning I listen to two albums. Today I listened to The Show Original Soundtrack by Andrew Broder and When the World Dies (thanks, Eric Harrison) by Come to Grief. 🎵
My reading stack currently includes two physical books. They are Lone Wolf and Cub Omnibus 1 and Making Comics. Gorgeous books. They are a delight to read. But they are such a drag to lug around. Especially Lone Wolf and Cub. If you dropped it, you might break a toe.
Every morning I listen to two albums. Today I listened to The Dance by Air Waves (thanks, @zioibi) and Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen. 🎵
I have an automated shortcut that downloads an RSS file to my iCloud account every morning and deletes the RSS file at night.
I need an automated shortcut to open the RSS file in Drafts at a specific time. It doesn’t seem to work unless my phone is in active use. Am I mistaken?
Sorry, neighbors, but this is what I’m listening to today.
I recorded myself reading Dr. Seuss’s Yertle the Turtle for my grandkid. My King Yertle synthesized Darth Sidious from Star Wars and The Monarch from the Venture Brothers. I reveled in campy evil. If I had a mustache, I’d be twirling it.
I made my first cup of Vietnamese-style coffee this morning with the Nguyen coffee-making kit my brother sent me for my birthday. Whew! Strong stuff. I’m going to enjoy having this as my morning routine.
I’ve just arrived at the second season of Witcher. Henry Cavill, bless his nerd heart, committed entirely to the role. I don’t envy Liam Hemsworth. That’s a large codpiece to fill.
