When I was a boy, these Christmas bubble lights transfixed me. This was pre-internet, of course, so something like that could transfix you. I’m delighted to find these lights back in production. Bit of childhood wish fulfillment.

Every morning I listen to two albums. Today I listened to The Art Of Geekin by Bbyafricka and American Music Vol. VII by Grupo Fantasma.🎵

I used Velcro ties to bundle the cables behind my media center. That’s enough for one night. This weekend I’ll see if I can hide the cables behind my media center’s legs.
I’m writing a webcomic where only one frame is visible at a time, but I’m using the structure of a nine-panel grid with setup, beat, and punchline in every row to tell my story. Add in dialogue, a murder, and text messages in a TikTok-like app, and it’s a logistical headache.

I’m looking forward to decompressing by playing a round of firefight on Halo: Reach, watching the latest episode of The Periphery, and working on a script for Project Boris.
My 22-year-old washing machine needs a new belt and tube. The repair man said they built them to last and says he has to fix new washing machines within three years.
Looking forward to seeing my grandkid tonight and decorating my Charlie Brown tree. Picked up a sting of bubble lights I’ve wanted since I was his age. Smart plug arrives in the mail today. I can have the tree lights on a timer. May add automation to include a Christmas playlist.
Every morning I listen to two albums. Today I listened to Hospice by The Antlers and The Mars Volta’s self-titled album. 🎵

My weekend task is to tame the unsightly tangle of cables behind my media center. I diagrammed everything out. I ordered Velcro ties and an extra power strip. When I check this off my list, I‘ll have a sense of satisfaction and that, however briefly, the universe will make sense.
Ten years ago, Tapbots released NetBot, an app for the defunct App.Net. The app icon featured a black version of Tapbots’s bird, which you can now find in the Tweetbots app. Now Tapbots is building an app for Mastodon, and I’m dying to know what the app icon will be.

Very exciting new. I would have LOVED Lucy Lawless as Molly Millions, but she’s aged out of the role. 💬 William Gibson’s Neuromancer coming to Apple TV+ https://www.theilluminerdi.com/2022/11/29/neuromancer-eyes-miles-teller/

I’ve scheduled Wagner’s “Entry of the Gods into Valhalla” by the Aeolus Brass Band to play over my HomePod Minis when I begin my work day.
