I’m rewatching The Mandalorian. I love the arc of Din Djarin and IG-11’s relationship in season one. It begins adversarial and ends with IG-11 as a stand-in for Djarin‘a parents. I get choked up just thinking about it.

It was fascinating to learn how quickly role-playing games matured quickly within a decade. I see many of the questions asked in the 70s that are still being answered today in the rise of narrative-based games.

I haven’t skinned my palms since I was a lad. Airing out the scrapes while trying not to smear my fluids on my keyboard.
This morning on the way to work, a mentally I’ll homeless lady threw a sopping wet trash bag at me. I managed to dodge it, but my feet got tangled up in the trash bag, and I took a spill. My left posterior is bruised and scraped on one of my palms while breaking my fall. So that was my day.

In a locally owned, family-friendly fast casual that 20 years ago was a dive the size of a shoebox. Amazing how much this neighborhood has changed. Quaint clothing and jewelry stores, an ice cream/café, and a shop dedicated to roller skates, for crying out loud.
