Last week I watched “Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart,” the thrilling conclusion to The Venture Bros. animated series, and all the accompanying features included in the release. The number of stories Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick were able to mine out of the premise is delightfully mind-boggling. We’ll not see it’s like again.

A long time ago, I picked up U2’s The Edge soundtrack for Captive. The only thing I can recall from the album was a track called “Heroine,” with vocals by Sinéad O’Connor. The following year one of the staff at Newbury Comics gave me a prerelease cassette by Sinéad. I recognized the name instantly and instantly became a fan. Decades later, Sinéad still has the power to transfix me with her voice, demanding to be heard. Shuhada' Sadaqat, peace be upon you.
