I picked up Once Upon A Time in the West because it’s $4.95 on Apple. The movie was shot in Techniscope. This derived a 2.35:1 aspect ratio while shooting with spherical lenses. This avoided the distortion created by anamorphic lenses during certain camera moves, as well as extreme close-ups. It’s amazing how epic and alive everything looks.
