In my life, I got to see Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch and Gaiman’s The Sandman adapted for television. I’m tickled that the two series exist.
Are the series equal to the source material? No, of course not. They’re different medium. The series is well done. They’re enjoyable. Sometimes I’m even moved. These are cherished stories I read as a young man. Reading them transports me to that time in my life. And I also remember the awe of what I was reading. I knew I was experiencing something singular. I would give anything to reread the book and series for the first time. And I hope someone shares the same magic watching Good Omens and The Sandman.
